Couple Sue After Been Unknowingly Booked on Gay Cruise
Imagine the scene: You and your husband pack your swimming cozzies and your factor 50 suntan lotion and embark on a relaxing three day cruise.
You plan to dig into your favourite Barbara Cartland novel and enjoy a few aquarobics sessions during the sunny days to counteract evenings spent indulging in 5-course dinners and copious amounts of G&T’s in the ships restaurant. You board the cruise and spot a few folks you know from the neighbourhood. They give you a sideways glance and seem surprised to see you. Pah….we can holiday too you snobs. You make your way on deck and see TV cameras, hoards of toned and oiled men and spot some of them are kissing. The penny drops. You are on a gay cruise.
Ha….
This is what happened to an Italian middle-aged couple who found themselves with 1500 homosexuals enjoying Italy’s first gay cruise according to the Daily Mail. The couple are now suing the travel company for not informing them they were booked on a gay cruise. Apparently they were left embarrassed…particularly as they met people they knew on board whom they didn’t know were gay. Awkward with a captial A!
