Given the fact that you’re more likely to need an umbrella in Ireland than a g-string bikini most people would be suprised to know that Ireland has some of the best nudist beaches in the world. I shit you not. Being naked on a beach in Galway is probably fine on one of the ten days when the temperature rises over 24 degrees but pruning in the North Atlantic breeze is not something I’d rush to do.
Apparently there’s no law against naturalism in Ireland but it’s not legal either. Apparently it all comes down to whether your nudity was done to offend and in that case it’s deemed a breach of the Public Order Act. Despite this there are 14 unofficial naturist beaches on the Irish Naturism site, complete with directions!
Anyway if you were wondering where nudists go on holiday (and I’m sure everyone was wondering that!) then check out the latest top 5 lists from travel site TripAdvisor - The Top 5 Naked Events and Top 5 Nude Beaches! Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your view, Ireland doesn’t appear on either list.
