Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas – best known for such religious acts as picketing the funerals of American soldiers and opposing gay rights – has launched an attack on pop singer Lady Gaga.

In a press release issued by the group they say:  “Her claim to the title of ‘Lady’ is sound only if she tacks on ‘of the night.”

They go on to say: “Does the simple slut truly think she can change God’s standards by seducing a generation of rebels into joining her in fist-raised, stiff-necked, hard-hearted rebellion against Him? Get real!”

The “Church” have now released their own version of Lady Gaga’s hit track ‘Poker Face’ with the lyrics:  “You pissed off God, you’ll see what he’s got… You ain’t God… God hates you… You got a whorish face, it’s a whorish face.”

Her body was found on Monday at her LA home. The cause of death has not yet been revealed but foul play is not suspected. Reports suggest Johnson may have passed away some days ago.

In a statement released to the press, the Johnson family says it “is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Johnson had one daughter, Ava, whom she adopted from Kazakhstan in 2007.

Tequila has confirmed the reports via Twitter. She tweeted: “Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support but I will be offline to be w family.”

Strangely she has continued to tweet and talk to reporters from TMZ and others. Personally if my fiancé had just died I’d probably wouldn’t be able to write my own name let alone tweet, but then I’m not Tila Tequila (thank God).

Perez Hilton, never one to shy away from a cat fight, has trotted in on his high horse to condemn Tequila for how she’s handling things, suggesting she’s simply seeking attention as opposes to genuinely mourning. He’s tweeted:

What is even stranger is that Tila had been fighting with Casey and hadn’t seen her or been able to make contact for a few days (TMZ). Tila had initially been under the impression that Casey was in a coma and not actually dead. What did she do? She tweeted: “I know u can feel me Casey! Dot let go! I’m almost home baby please hang on! We have a beautiful life planned out for us! I LOVE u! Hang on!”

Bizarre.

To add to the craziness, whilst she was out of contact with Casey (remember this was over New Years) she posted pictures of her ‘new gun’  and said: “Check out my Sig Saur P229 .40 Caliber! Looks Dashing W my 7carat Canary Diamond! Both REAL! POW!”

I mean that’s all Tila Tequila needs…a gun!

Everyone’s favourite Firecrotch, Lindsay Lohan, is rumoured to be dating Gucci model, Adam Senn. According to reports they spent New Years Eve together partying the night away and she brought him to her sister Ali’s 16th birthday bash.

However Lohan has said they’re just friends on Twitter: “I’m not dating my friend lol, people are nutso, and its not a way to start of the new year with rumors ”. There may be still hope.

So, since  I don’t need much of an excuse to look at pictures of Cheryl, here’s a quick overview of her rise to stardom.

Cheryl – she was Cheryl Tweedy then – was working as a waitress when she auditioned for “Popstars: The Rivals” in 2002- a talent contest to form a girl group and a boy band. Tweedy recieved the most votes in the final becoming the first girl to snag a place in the girl group – Girls Aloud. Back then Cheryl wasn’t…how to put this….as ‘polished’ as she is now. A transformation that has led to her being nicknamed by the media as ‘Queen of Chavs’. A lover of tracksuit bottoms and the bare midriff look, Cheryl also clearly shares my love of ice-cream sundaes!

It took Cheryl a while to become a darling in the eyes of the UK public and her career teetered on the edge in 2003 when she was charged with assaulting a toilet attendant at a nightclub. The fight was allegedly racially motivated but Cole proclaimed self defence.

As one fifth of Girls Aloud, Cheryl, through some great PR managed to put the assault behind her and the band went on to release over twenty singles and five albums. The band went from strenth to strenth, earning the most consecutive top ten entries in the UK by a female group.

Apparently a psychic told Cheryl she should give a footballer her phone number and so like an obedient gal she gave her digits to Ashley Cole. Since Cheryl and I never crossed paths, in 2006 she married him. The wedding pictures had class written all over them. I’m surprised they didn’t rig a car to take off into the sky outside the Church a la Grease.

Ashley was a bad boy though with reports that he had cheated on Cheryl hitting the press in 2008 – apparently he’d done the deed with a hairdresser and a glamour model. Poor Cheryl was devestated but (stupidly) she took him back.

In 2008, Cheryl was drafted in to be a judge on the X-Factor in place of Sharon Osbourne. Appearing on our TV screens week in week out, Cole’s star rose. Her honest and down-to-earth approach to judging on the show has endeared her to the public and taken her from being ‘one of Girls Aloud’ to being the nations sweetheart.

In 2009, Cole was positioned as a ’style icon’, appearing on the cover of British Vogue in February giving the mag record sales for the month.

FHM readers voted Cole the sexiest woman in their ‘top 100′ poll in 2009.

She also was awarded the title of ‘Best Dressed Woman’ in 2009 by Glamour. I can see why….

Cole has most recently become the face of L’Oreal so now as well as seeing her on X Factor and promoting her book, we can hear her dulcet Jordies tones on the L’Oreal TV ads.

Is Cheryl in danger of becoming over-exposed? That would depend on whether you love her or hate her!?

The Star went on to say: “the ladies will be queuing around the block to get a taste of the lusty lass, who recently split from husband Peter Andre, as she could be set to become a big star.”

I say again…please! Surely I’m not the only one that wouldn’t cross the road to look at Jordan!
