I’ve never been a morning person. I attribute this to the fact I was literally dragged from my mothers womb at 4.15am screaming my head off and have been a night owl ever since. Given that I resemble an extra from Dracula (one of the sluggish vampires that turns to dust in the sunlight within seconds of appearing) I tend to ease myself into every day. After the least possible amount of grooming, I  jolt my brain into action with a grandé Americano and then begin my little ritual of scanning the latest bits and bobs on my favourite sites.

One morning I began to develop finger cramp in my mouse clicking digit as I flitted from site to site in search of something to relieve the tedium at work. I then decided to start my own site which would essentially act as a dumping ground for news, reviews and gossip on everything and anything that I find interesting.

When it came to naming the blog ‘Yer Wan‘ just popped into my head. For those of you who don’t know, Yer Wan is Irish slang meaning ‘your woman‘ or ‘that woman‘. For example “did you read about yer wan who was arrested for commiting lude acts with a monkey?”

A 27 year old girl,  I spend my days writing for other people so I may end up in a “Home Alone”-style frienzy writing for myself. I’ll have some regular contributors to the site to keep me in line and ensure I don’t start telling you all what I’ve had for breakfast (conveniently I realise I’ve already covered this here!).

Feel free to contact me through the contact form on site if you’ve anything to vent!
